A one-week photo exhibition themed Vietnam's World Heritage opened in Da Nang on August 30.

VietNamNet Bridge - The Ministry of Culture and Information has chosen 11 cultural genres to be displayed at the 2007 Smithsonian Folklife Festival, in the US, in late June. HANOI, Jan 11 Asia Pulse - The Vietnamese Trade Ministry will accelerate trade promotion in combination with tourism to increase incomes and improve the living conditions of people in craft villages. In the long term, the move aims at tapping these villages' strong points and ensuring their sustainable development.

Vietnam and Singapore will promote cultural heritage cooperation for the 2007-2012 period by increasing cultural exchanges, jointly organising exhibitions and exchanging expertise in the collection and preservation of cultural heritage. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on April 9, by Dang Van Bai, Director of the Department of National Cultural Heritage of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and Information, and Michael Koh, Chief Executive Officer of the National Heritage Board of the Singaporean Ministry of Information, Communications and Arts.
