The first food festival for coastal provinces and cities will take place from April 11-15 in coastal Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

With an aim to honor and introduce Vietnam’s eating and drinking value to visitors and offer the cooks a chance to perform their cooking skills, Vietnam Records Book Center in cooperation with food possessing companies and Viet Eating and Drinking Joint-stock Company held the program of the first Vietnam eating and drinking record meeting with presence of Vietnamese popular dishes like noodle, roasted cinnamon pork and vegetarian pizza.

Eating: Within tourist areas, a wide range of food acceptable to the international palate is freely available, restaurants are usually clean and menus often have English translations. Elsewhere, the variety is far less, dishes and menus are often unrecognisable and preparation and eating areas are a long way from international standards of hygiene. Having said that, few visitors seem suffer food-related illnesses during their stay!
